Korean tourists

The statistics from the National Statistical Coordination Board shows that Koreans are the no.1 tourist in the list who visited the Philippines last year with a recorded tourist arrival of 572,133. The number of Korean tourists in 2006 is equivalent to 20.1% of the total tourist arrival of 2,843,345. It increased by 16.9% from 2005 to 2006.



The Americans, previously the largest foreign tourist in the country, now ranked no.2 with 567,355 tourists. It is equivalent to 20% of the total tourist arrivals.

It is followed by Japan (421,808), China (133,585) and Taiwan (114,955).
