Taking care of my Sony Camera is a big challenge

2.11.07 |

The digital camera is tool that can make our blogging life colorful. I believe that it is a must for travel blogs and food review blogs, and even for personal blogs. It is best when we are sharing pictures to our readers that is why I purchased a digital camera last April 2007. I bought a brand new Sony DSC-W50 from my roommate for P13,000 (smuggled Sony DSC-W50 digital camera). It originally costs around P16,000 in malls during that time.

Para mas maging makulay ang blogging.”

September 29, 2007. Saturday Night. I decided to visit my aunt in Cavite and had an overnight stay in their house because I haven’t been there for a long time (more than 6 months). My decision to stay in their house was like an Extra Extra Challenge to me. It is because I already had history of loosing valuable things in their house. Way back before, I lost money (often), cellphone, and even a CPU processor in their house. Even my mom and other relatives had same experiences.

September 30, 2007. Sunday Morning. When I woke up my aunt was not there. I am not aware that she need go to Don Bosco – Makati because it’s a HS report card distribution day. Imagine that I went there just because of her! Anyway, there's nothing I can do with it. I just kept myself busy by capturing pictures in their rooftop using my Sony W50 camera for my blog.

Sunday Afternoon. It was already 3pm and my aunt was still on commute going home therefore I already decided to pack my laptop, books, and shirts. It seems like “the bad spirit” was not there. Therefore I also decided to place my Sony DSC-W50 camera in a safe place inside my bag under my shirts and books. I didn’t want to bring it with me in the bathroom. I want to avoid my Sony W50 camera from getting wet. I took a quick bath and I felt safe because my Samsung i600 cellphone and my wallet were in my short pockets that were also with me in the bathroom.

When I went to my room I immediately checked if nobody touches my bag. Ok, everything looks fine until I searched for my camera… $%*&its gone! This fucking “bad spirit” / first degree cousin (30yo) of mine took it! again!. As a good and kind hearted person, I just accepted that my Sony W50 camera will just became another early Christmas gift for my very good cousin. After that, I just remained quit. I watched TV while waiting for aunt. When she arrived, I say nothing and I already went back to condo in Mandaluyong.

Wow! I just recently lost my job, then now I lost my camera! I have no plans to go in their house this all souls day and even this coming Christmas. I don’t want to play Extra Challenge anymore. I failed in taking care of my camera. :(
