Gift giving is an exciting event not only for kids but also for adults during Christmas. However, not this 2007 because I noticed something wrong with adults that makes me irritated. I noticed that many adults are giving same gifts with what they given last year therefore many people keep on receiving gifts that they had already received in the past. It seems like there is a tradition of recycling of gift ideas every Christmas. And it had already been passed from generations to generations.
Consider old adults who are working in the corporate world. Some of these people are not public relations manager, not a store owner, and has nothing to do with sales but they really love to give corporate souvenir type of gift. It is really boring for me to see some old people giving personal planner, wall clock, umbrellas, mug, ball pen, and calendar every Christmas.
If not the corporate souvenir type of gift, the Christmas bundled gift packages of various establishment are the second favorite of old adults and of the not-so-old adults. Examples of these are the Body Shop Christmas gift package, Mark and Spencer Christmas gift package, and the Grocery Christmas gift package. It seems like people who are giving these doesn’t have enough creativity and strength to look for better unique Christmas gift items due to their old age.
The last is the favorite gifts of many busy oldies and it is so-called most practical type of gift. Examples of these are cash, Sodexho gift pass, SM department store gift certificate,Toy Kingdom
The Christmas is almost over but I bet some of these adults will still continue to use or to recycle their Christmas gift ideas for birthday gifts, graduation gifts, wedding gifts, and anniversary gifts. If I were them I will give a more personalize type of gift. I can see where you are coming from as you are probably fairly young, but I appreciate every gift I'm given...don't care what it is. Some people aren't very creative gift givers and your link will probably provide them with some good ideas. Heck, I'm just happy someone thought enough about me to even give me a gift.
maybe they already forgot what they gave last year...hehehe...just kidding!
i actually appreciate gift cheques! :) there's nothing i hate more than receiving useless things and having to force yourself to show appreciation for them. bad, i know. but that's just how it is. gift cheques give u a chance to choose what u really want, therefore, making u happier than receiving mundane things. :)
its actually stressful to think of what to give to a list of 100 people. I mean... you'd even be stressed out on what to give to one person... how much more a hundred? Hehe.
but im grateful for every gift that I am given... and I can't imagine.. people not happy about what i just gave. Sad. (about it being the same thing all over again).
but at least its the thought that counts. no matter how redundant the gift may seem. they are all useful. ;p

I have nothing against adults or older people. However, I feel sorry as I used strange words against them in order to emphasized their laziness and lack of creativity with regards to purchasing gifts… Again, I am really sorry for that.
